Library members can borrow books and bound volumes & periodicals for a stipulated period.

Kiosks are installed at circulation area for searching library catalogue. CNCI Library gives students on spot facility to search for books, check availability, membership account status, etc

Users are provided with air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled reading section. Readers can approach the library staff for information or for any assistance regarding how to use the library collections and services. Special information requirements as well as any referral service are also catered through this section. The library maintains a varied reference collection consisting of confined resources.

Users are allowed for on request photocopy of 30 pages of a confined book in a day.

The Central Library offers inter-library loan service to its users for books and periodicals which are not available in the library. Such resources are made available by procuring them from other libraries. Inter-library loan facilities are not extended to the Libraries outside Kolkata and subject to terms and conditions.

Five (5) computer terminals with network facilities are available for accessing electronic resources at E-Library work Station. Library staff assists users for their ease of using e-resources. Usually online Journals, books, magazines, lectures, institutional repository, internet surfing, etc are available to access.

The Ask a Librarian email reference service is one of many ways to contact our mail id cnci.library@gmail.comor cnci.library@cnci.org.in. We primarily serve the research needs of Research and Hospital unit, but anyone can submit a question about our collections, services or facilities.

Central Library also supports and assists the apex decision making body of the institution by providing timely information. Departments are also provided with various administrative academic and policy related information for their ease of decision making.

This is one of the most important services in which users (students and teachers) are made aware of overall library facilities, services and products through an extensive interactive session. Even from time to time teachers are informed about endeavours, developments and intellectual inputs of library.

Students are catered with various career related information and information resources on request. Collection consists of electronic resources, audio-visual materials, books, magazines, etc which is effectively helping them in preparation for their prospective professional career.

CNCI Library is a member of National Medical Library�s Electronic Resources in Medicine (ERMED) Consortium. Which is an initiative taken by DGHS & MOHFW to develop nationwide electronic information resources in the field of medicine for delivering effective health care.CNCI library also provide to access 242 high quality online e-journals through ERMED Consortium.

On demand and free scanning and printing facility is provided to every member. Even on demand scan of maximum 5 pages of confined books and mailing to respective receiver is available at emergency.

This service helped library user especially Doctor�s and Scientist�s with important news and notices published in various newspapers wherever they are and also save time of them. This service will focus interest of mainly Oncology related information.
